Privacy Policy

Privacy practices for I Was Just, including site information, analytics, cookies and visitor choices.

This Privacy Policy describes how IWasJust handles information when you use iwasjust.com. It is intended to describe the site’s actual operating practices in plain language.

Information you provide

If you submit a contact form or otherwise send information directly to the site, the information you provide may be received and stored so the message can be reviewed and answered. Do not submit sensitive information that is not necessary for the request.

Analytics and site measurement

The site may use Google services, including Google Analytics and Google Site Kit, to understand visits, page use, traffic sources, and other aggregate or pseudonymous usage information. Depending on your location and consent choices, analytics storage or measurement may be limited until consent is provided.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies or similar browser storage may be used for site operation, consent preferences, security, analytics, and features supplied by WordPress or installed services. Where a consent tool is presented, use it to make the available choices.

Forms and communications

WordPress forms or equivalent contact tools may process information submitted through the site. Form information is used for the reason it was submitted, such as responding to a question or correction.

Beta Tester Applications and Product Research

IWasJust may invite people to apply to test proposed reminder tools or related early-stage product concepts. If a beta application form is made available, we may collect the applicant’s email address, the reminder problem or use case they choose to describe, their interest in participating, and any other information clearly requested by that form. We use this information to review applications, assess product interest and suitability, contact applicants about beta opportunities, coordinate testing if they are selected, and evaluate feedback about the concept. Applying does not guarantee selection, early access, a release date, or a finished product.

A beta application is not, by itself, consent to receive an unrelated marketing newsletter. Any optional marketing subscription must be clearly identified and separately chosen where required. Applicants should avoid including health information, financial details, account credentials, or other sensitive personal information in free-text responses. If a tester is selected, any additional collection, testing terms, or data practices specific to the test must be explained before those activities begin.

Application information may be processed through the website’s form, email, hosting, and other service providers used to operate the application process. It is retained only as reasonably needed to evaluate beta participation, communicate about the test, manage records and security, or meet applicable obligations, then deleted or de-identified as appropriate. Applicants can request correction, withdrawal from consideration, or deletion of application information, subject to legitimate retention obligations, through the site’s Contact page.

Commercial and third-party links

IWasJust does not depend on affiliate recommendations as a core feature. If affiliate or referral links are introduced, they will be disclosed clearly and kept separate from the product’s behavioral or usefulness claims.

The site may link to third-party websites. Those services operate under their own privacy practices, terms, and technologies. Following an external link does not make that third party part of this site.

Data retention and security

Information is retained only as long as reasonably useful for the purpose for which it was collected, operational records, security, or legitimate business needs. Reasonable measures are used to protect the site, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your choices

You may use the site’s consent controls where available. You may also use browser settings to restrict or delete cookies. Some site functions may behave differently when storage or scripts are blocked.

Children

This site is not designed to collect personal information from children as a primary audience.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the site’s tools, data practices, or legal requirements change. The current version published on this page controls.
